Lost Property

There have a been a number of things left in the cars recently, so we’ve created a lost property box in the Sustaining Dunbar office. If you find anything in the cars, please drop it off to 16 West Port.

SpareWheels Q&A Session

SpareWheels is a local transport club which will run best if we all know each other and are working together to keep it going. We have no intention of turning into a faceless organisation and we hope current and potential members will come along this Saturday (20th August) to the first Q&A session at 6pm at Hallhill. There will be a short presentation on how things are going so far, but this is mainly an opportunity to say hello – please pop in for 5 minutes for tea and biscuits.

Q&A Session – 20th August

SpareWheels Carshare Club Q&A PosterOur first members’ feedback event is at Hallhill on Saturday 20th August. There will be a short presentation at 6pm with information on how the cars are being used, and what the initial response has been. If you’ve been thinking about joining but haven’t yet taken the plunge, this is the time to come along to see the vehicles and talk to the management.

A village car?

We’d like to get a third car towards the end of 2011, potentially located in one of the local villages e.g. Innerwick or Stenton. We are looking for a group of 4 or 5 regular commuters to get the project started. Please get in touch if you are interested.

The new car would be parked in the village over-night and at weekends and available to village members at these times. On weekdays it would make a commuter run to Dunbar train station and park there during the day, available to Dunbar members until it was needed to return to the village. The journey to the train station would work out very cheap for users, potentially as little as 50p per journey.
For this to work we require a group of 4 or 5 people who are catching the same trains on most days. Would this suit you? Please do register your interest, and let us know what would work for you.
